The Flakpanzer III was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun developed during World War II, based on the Panzer III chassis. It was armed with a 20mm or 37mm FlaK cannon, providing mobile air defense for armored units against low-flying aircraft. The vehicle had an open-topped turret, which offered better visibility but left the crew exposed to enemy fire. Although produced in limited numbers, the Flakpanzer III was used on both the Eastern and Western Fronts, supporting German units with vital anti-aircraft protection.
