The Panzer III Ausf. J was a widely produced German medium tank, introduced in 1941 with increased armor protection (up to 50mm) and initially armed with a 5cm KwK 38 L/42 gun, later upgraded to the longer L/60 version for better anti-tank performance. It served extensively on the Eastern Front and in North Africa, forming the backbone of Germany’s armored forces during the mid-war period.
