Type 97 Chi-Ha Kai (3D Printed)
The Type 97 Chi-Ha Kai, also known as the Shinhoto Chi-Ha, was an upgraded version of the Japanese Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank, introduced during World War II. This variant featured a significant improvement in armament, replacing the original 57mm gun with a more powerful 47mm high-velocity gun, mounted in a new, larger turret. The enhanced firepower was designed to counter the increasing threat from Allied armor. Despite retaining the original's relatively thin armor, with a maximum thickness of 33mm, the Chi-Ha Kai's increased gun performance made it more effective in combat. The tank was powered by a Mitsubishi diesel engine, providing a top speed of around 24 mph (38 km/h). The Chi-Ha Kai saw extensive service in various theaters, including the Pacific islands and mainland Asia, where it played a crucial role in Japanese armored forces. Its combination of improved firepower and reasonable mobility made it a more formidable opponent compared to its predecessor, though it still faced challenges against more heavily armored Allied tanks.
This is a multi part model complete with turret and multi part tracks.
